In this hands on knitting class students will learn the fundamentals of Fair Isle knitting. This class is a great introduction to colorwork for beginners to gain confidence in the technique.

In the class we will be working from the Comfort & Joy book by Melynda Bernardi of French Press Knits. Melynda Bernardi is a local knitwear designer. She has created a collection of Christmas stocking for modern hand knitters. Her 7 orginal Christmas stockingdesigns were inspired by the coziness of the holiday season.

Unwind Yarn Shop has a weaving group. The group meets on one Sunday a month from 10 AM – 12:30 PM.

Students need to bring their own loom. A Ridged Heddle Loom is what is suggested. Preregistration is required. Price per session is $20.

She has created a collection of Christmas stocking for modern hand knitters. Her 7 orginal Christmas stocking designs were inspired by the coziness of the holiday season.
